A Broken Heart
Personal Expressions... Leave a comment below after you read.
When something is broken it is left open, undone; and so it is vulnerable, weak, and at risk. This is, too, the state of a heart when broken. Yet, at the same time, there is something so resilient about those of such dispositions if they address their brokenness properly. In time the opened, cavernous, wounded heart mends, and because of its past, it transforms its painful history into a joyous presence, relegating to its love ones and others the strength and resilience which must be possessed when life’s Corridor gives way to Detours of misfortune.
Being made aware of this, one should embrace heartbreak and let it have its way; however painful or long its stay may be, let it be. If it is treated with care it will only brighten the future, but if handled improperly, it could damage the future by halting life’s present. One must never stop moving, progressing, learning; even in grief a person has to move forward–never regress, but continuously progress.
What does this mean? It means cry when you feel like crying; let your emotions of anger, sadness, denial, self pity gradually subside within you. This is healthy! Let no one rob you of your time to grieve, to heal, or mend. This is the only life you have and your pain is your pain. No one knows it like you; therefore no one can claim it or feel it like you, so do yourself a favor and embrace your grief as you would a gift. Don’t wait to do it; do it now! Grief that is handled immediately is managed better.
Love & Peace,
Debbie Jones
